I have a master’s degree in international business from UK and currently in US. I am open to sales marketing jobs as I do not have any work-experience but I’d love to work in international management. How do I go about it? Also I did find 2-3 opening in international management and would like to know how the interview will look like? What kinda questions will they ask etc etc. Or as for marketing , how is the interview process if they say it is rigorous. Any site that could help ?
FreeLife International is just that – International, and they’re hoping to go into the UK this year. They just might have some type of job openings for a person with your experience. Their link is below.
Is it pharmaceutical sales? Medical device sales? I just graduated with my BA and I’m looking for a sales job so that I have more opportunity to boost my income with commissions and bonuses. Any advice would be appreciated!
I would say medical device sales by far. It’s big money and you are your own boss. Pharmaceutical sales is a bit degrading. Medical device sales is the most respected and rewarding in my opinion. People could argue that both ways. Use recruiters to get your job the best as you can. Find their jobs on different medical device job boards. The majority of recruiters have their pharmaceutical sales and medical sales jobs on

Medrep.com is around $30 for like 3 months.
Letsoperate.com is around $30 for one year.
Either way, it’s good to invest in your career for the same $$ you’d pay for going out to dinner in one day. Personally, I’d rather use a site that takes its job board seriously and doesn’t have cartoon mascots all over its website. Also, check out different forums on the web to get your questions answered by other reps. They are all free to use even if you don’t have a membership. Cafepharma is good for the pharmaceutical industry. Medzilla has small forums covering the medical, pharmaceutical, biotech and other areas. Letsoperate covers the entire medical industry with medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare/nursing forums.
Congrats on your BA and best of luck getting into the industry!

I am trying to get into pharmaceutical sales and want to know the best way to do this. I have no direct experience in pharmaceutical sales however I do have 3 years of outside sales experience plus 15+ years of direct customer service. I have a BS in Social Science with a minor in Gerontology. I have medical terminology and had started out working on my nursing degree before changing majors. I have worked as an executive administrative assistant, accounting clerk and HR assistant up until the last three years and want a new career path. And before it is suggested that I have to be somewhat attractive, I modeled in high school and college. So with all of this said…Any suggestions or leads? Any and all help is greatly appreicated! Thanks in advance!
best bet is to know someone in the industry. see if you can ride along with a rep for a day (shows initiative). read the following book w/ regard to interviewing: "Knock ‘em Dead" by Yates or Yeates. i say this because i was a nurse before i got into pharma sales – no sales experience whatsoever – and, after reading the book, THAT’S when i started getting asked back for 2nd and 3rd interviews. it takes persistence… i waited an entire year before someone took a chance on me (and me and my team blew our numbers out of the water… trip to paris… trip to rome… multiple cash awards). anyone can do this job; and one doesn’t need to be attractive to do it (although, unfortunately, that’s a criteria on which a lot of managers base their decision(s)). also, try monster.com. type in "sales" in the box, and look for or hi-lite pharmaceutical sales where you’re given the option – you’ll see what i’m talking about. many people choose to get on with a smaller company… prove themselves w/ regard to exceeding sales expectations… then jump to larger pharma companies.
one last thing: if you can dispose of $200-300, try to get a professional resume writer to re-do your resume. mine added key words and that revision, along with reading the aforementioned book – helped a TON.
good luck.
Hi, I’m looking for some advice on sales careers. I currently work in the financial sector and want to eventually switch to a sales career.
Any recommendations about which kind of sales job would have the most potential for me to advance the furthest within a few years?
I have real estate sales experience and a bachelor’s in Business Administration. Sales in any field would be fine, as long as the potential is good.
TIA
in sales you need to know what you are saleing as well as like the stuff you are saleing.if you don’t use it then it won’t sale itself good.because if you come across as conning people they will know it’s not a good thing to buy.

You are offered two different sales jobs. The first company offers a straight commission of 5% of the sales. The second company offers a salary of $ 390 per week plus 3% of the sales. How much would you have to sell in a week in order for the straight commission offer to be at least as good?
about $ 20,000 is 2% give or take, you would have to sell 50,000 to break even
