What outside sales jobs pay the best for entry level sales. I am looking to work smart, not hard?

Any ideas on an outside sales rep job that gives me some flexibility and rewards me for working smart, and not hard.

If you are just starting out in the sales world, consider the following:

1. Make sure you are representing something you are passionate about. It will be easier to sell something if you personally feel it’s need.

2. Beware of commission-only opportunities. Working on commission can be a great way to make a lot of money, but if you’re just starting out in sales, I recommend finding something with a base salary, so that your income isn’t at zero while you learn some of the tricks of the trade.

3. Find a good company. You don’t have to work for a Fortune 500 company, but make sure the company you’re working for has been around for awhile, and is financially secure.

Hope this helps!
