Can any one recommend any decent part – time work from home?
I am looking for some spare time home-based work to boost my income. Can any one recommend anything that is not a scam or requires loads of cash upfront for little or no return.

You are right to be concerned about scams.
The issue is that alot of the work from home "jobs" out there are actually work from home businesses. There is a huge difference between these two things.
If you are wanting a true work from home job, be aware that many time you will be competing with people from all over the world. People in places like India and the Philippines have great English skills and will work for pennies on the dollar.
My advice is to decide what you really want.
If you are looking for serious income you will probably need to start your own business from home.
If you just want to pick up some freelance work, I recommend Odesk http://tinyurl.com/desowk . There are thousands of different jobs available.

Please ask yourself these questions BEFORE joining any business. and do your own research. This is what matters!
1.Is the Company positioned well in its industries?
2.Is the Company NEW enough to offer opportunity for ME?
3.Is there a real demand for their products? During this economy what are people BUYING? Don’t know the answer? Click on my link.

I stay at home with my son and have a small home daycare. I just recently signed up to sell books for Usborne Books & More.
